Hello my name is "Cookie" and it is my job to welcome everyone who comes to the Tapestry Cottage. I am the most beautiful English Springer Spaniel and I came to live at The Cottage 1 year ago.
I am an Australian Champion, but I do not like to be shown anymore. I used to live at The Glass House Mountains with my previous parents Gwen & Darryl, my sister Springer Spaniel " Millie " & brother Australian Cattle dog "Webster".
One day one of them must have given me a fright & somehow Millie fell into my mouth. Oops ! I got the blame & so had to find a new home.
How lucky am I ? I moved to Arana Hills where I live like a Princess, wear " Diamonds" around my neck & have lots of lovely ladies come to visit me every day. My new Mum Heather teaches Creative Tapestry Classes everyday & I just LOVE the students.
I recognize everyone's cars & am so excited when they arrive. I have learnt how to tell the time & make sure to let everyone know when their class is finished.It is my time with Heather then & we play fetch with my favorite toy. My friend Margaret-Ann bakes me treats & I have perfected the sad dog look so I get more. My friends are "Rosie" the yellow Labrador, "Albert" the Chocolate Labrador ( his Mum is Margaret-Ann), Lucy, Max & Gismo & Bonnie & Hamish.

My Mum ( Heather), Gail and I have been working really hard again today. They have been scanning lots & Lots of cross stitch patterns ready to upload onto this Web Site. I have been helping by lying on their feet to keep them warm. Albert came over for a while and we had a short play, but then it was back to work for the creative three. The Website is looking good, don't you think? Wow there is so much stock to upload. The shopping cart should be ready for use in the next week . You will also be able to check us out on FACEBOOK soon. You will be able to see photos of some of the fantastic Creative Tapestries being worked by the students of The Tapestry Cottage.
Do you know that we hold Tapestry Classes every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.There is also a class on Tuesday Night. I LOVE it when there is a Tapestry Class, as everyone is so happy. It is a great way to meet new people. I have met so many ladies & they have all learnt where my treat jar is. My Mum only puts a few treats in the Jar every day. I am sure that is why I am called "Cookie" because I just LOVE cookies. I guess you don't know, but my really flash show name is "Australia Champion Fraelighte Facination". Pretty eh?

Yesterday I was rewarded for all my patience & help with the website. We went to the beach. Wow, I LOVE it at the beach. Actually my mum has to call it "The Place with the water" when she talks about it in front of me as I spring & spin with excitement when ever I hear the word. I went with my cousin "Rosie, & my boyfriend "Albert". There were hundreds of birds for me to chase. I ran & ran. I LOVE chasing birds. I have a little problem in that I just do not know when to stop, so when it is time to go home, I have to be lifted into the car, as I am so tired. What fun.
You really must check out the EVENTS page, so you can read all about the coming functions that will happening in the garden here at The Tapestry Cottage. There is the RAINBOW GEM CLASS on November 13th & then THE POT LUCK LUNCHEON on December 4th. That will be a very informative luncheon with guest speakers Chris De Klerk & Stewart Harding from Frames on Farrant. Chris has Golden Retriever dogs. Yea I LOVE Golden Retriever dogs, however Bubbles will not be coming to the lunch.
You may have guessed that I LOVE a lot of things. In fact I am so happy I LOVE almost everything, except lettuce yuck!

Guess what? A very exciting parcel arrived today. l LOVE it when the delivery man comes to The Tapestry Cottage because I get more pats. I LOVE pats. Anyway there were a lot of new Tapestries in the parcel. These are New Release tapestries. My Mum said we will be very busy over the weekend uploading them onto the Tapestry page for you to see. It was very exciting here last night when the SHOPPING CART went live. My Mum says there are still lots & lots of products to add, & lots of fine tuning to be done, so there will always be something new for you to see.
My cousin Lucy is coming to visit for the weekend. I LOVE Lucy, she is small & we race around the garden. What fun!

Wednesday 23rd November
The Rainbow Gem Class on Sunday December 4th was just the best day. 15 Ladies stitched their pretty ornaments & we all had a great day. Now I am looking forward to the Pot Luck Lunch on December 4th. There will be lots more Pats & Treats, yeah & I am sure the Framing demonstrations & talk will be very interesting.
It is not long before Santa comes...yeah... Rosie will be here for a holiday then & we will have to have our Stockings ready. We have both been such good girls , I hope Santa has been watching 
We are going to have a weeks holiday between Christmas & New Year, My Mum has some fabulous quilted fabric she will be sewing into Carry Bags for The Tapestry Frames.
My Mum has been finding out lots of cool stuff about my earlier life. Kaye the wonderful lady from Fraelight Kennels who bred me has been reading my Blog. Can you believe this? I have 7 "children". 2 of my "son" are Grand Champions. Last night we found out that I now have 10 " Grand Children". I am having another Birthday Party at Canine Comforts & I hope to be seeing Kaye again then. Wow that will be fun. She taught me how to HUG, & I am the best hugger.

Oh My Goodness, what happened to the rest of last year? It is gone.
HAPPY NEW YEAR. My Mum & I hope you all have a very Happy & Enjoyable 2012 & we look forward to seeing you soon in the store.
A Lot has happened . The Framing Pot Luncheon was very informative & a lot of fun. The ladies all had a really good time & the food as usual was first class.
My Mum & I have had a week holiday from the store. My Mum's Cousin Judy & her little dog "Lucy" have moved in with us while they build a new house. Lucy & I are having so much fun. We are learning not to bark & so have been getting masses of treats while we learn our lessons so well. Now that we are so good the treats are getting less because we were starting to get a little tubby, especially Lucy. Judy has been complaining that she can no longer pick Lucy up in one hand. Oops!
Heather has been busy sewing fabulous Quilted Dust Cover / Tapestry Carry Bags. They will be uploaded onto the Web soon. There are some very pretty colors.
It has been so good to see everyone coming back to Tapestry Class. I didn't realize how much I missed all the pats & cuddles.
